On 16th May Acciona Trasmediterránea will begin the first regular passenger and cargo line between Spain and the United Kingdom, connecting the ports of Portsmouth and Bilbao .

• The superferry "Fortuny", which will operate the new line, is one of the most modern and comfortable ships in the company, with a capacity for 1,000 passengers and 330 vehicles, equipped with all the services required to make the crossing a mini-cruise.
• Likewise, the large capacity of the superferry’s hold guarantees a regular offer for transporting rolling stock between Portsmouth and Bilbao, in this way establishing a new Seafaring Motorway between UK and Spain.
• The superferry "Fortuny" is equipped with that latest technologies in environmental protection. An example of this is the advanced design of the propelling screws which reduces the energy consumed and consequently emission to the atmosphere.
