The National Boat Caravan & Outdoor Show will be celebrating its 46th year from 17 – 25 February at the NEC Birmingham with numerous product launches from some of the major manufacturers in the outdoor leisure industry.

This year’s show will once again span over two weekends, including school half term for some of the surrounding areas, and will be spread over five halls of the NEC. It will offer visitors first time opportunities to see some of the newest 2007 caravan and motorhome models as well as provide free entertainment for the whole family.

Highlights of the show will include:
• First view of the new range of Swift’s Sprite caravans
• Lunar Caravans bringing their latest Chateau model
• UK debut for Auto-Sleeper’s new Peugeot Sigma
• Avondale launching a new family tourer
• Bilbo’s celebrating their 30th anniversary
• Burstner hosting the European launch of the all new ARGOS A747-2
• Cristall bringing new additions to the flagship Moorea range
• Swift showing the Kon-Tiki and Bassacarr E700 ranges, including two new TAG axle models
• The Caravan Club unveiling the ‘Caravan of the Future’
• Volvo’s ‘Towcar of the Year 2007’

Also on show will be

a wide range of boats, tents, holiday homes and leisure vehicles to satisfy different budgets. An abundance of gadgets and accessories from satellite dishes and solar panels, to outdoor clothing and cleaning products, will be available to complete the ideal outdoor lifestyle.

Visitors to the show can try out a variety of free activities for the whole family, such as rock climbing and tuition at the ‘Sail Laser Zone’ indoor pool. There will also be the chance to try towing a caravan in the comfort of the latest Land Rover Freelander at the ‘Start Caravanning’ course.

Caravan and motorhome pitches, including some with electrical hook-ups, are available at the NEC for the duration of the show through The Camping and Caravanning Club (call 0845 130 7257 to book a space). There will also be free parking for visitors.

KEY DETAILS
WHERE: Hall 2, 3, 3a, 4 and 5, NEC, Birmingham
OPENING: The show is open from 10am until 6pm every day.

PARKING: Free

COSTS: Tickets cost £14 for adults, £7.50 for children (5-15), FREE for children under 5, £11.00 senior citizens (60+), and £45 for a family (two adults and three children under 16). Tickets can be bought in advance of 17 February 2007 for the reduced rate of £11.50 for adults, £6.50 for children, FREE for children under 5, £8.50 for senior citizens, and £37 for families. Car parking is free. To purchase a ticket please send a cheque, for the correct amount, made payable to NEC Box Office, to NEC Box Office, PO Box 3348, Birmingham B40 1NS. Alternatively, call the credit card hotline on 08707 300963 (a transaction fee of £1 will be charged for card payments).

HOW TO GET THERE Rail: The nearest station is Birmingham International. This station is easily accessible from all over the U.K. and is only 10-15 minutes by train from Birmingham New Street. Virgin Trains operate a fast and frequent half-hourly shuttle service between London Euston and Birmingham International. Road: The NEC is situated in close proximity to the M40, M42, M5, M6 and M1. On arrival, visitors have access to extensive FREE parking facilities. Air: The NEC is directly opposite Birmingham International Airport.
