LPG in Eire |
 |
Posted on Monday, July 02 @ 15:51:16 BST by nukeadmin |
macboro writes "Having just returned from a month in Eire, I thought I would pass on some info re-LPG. For those vans that either fill LPG for Running or Domestic, beware, filling stations are very rare and you must have your own connection. Its a special type unlike any other in Europe and very few garages have their own Eire/UK adapter.
Re bottled gas these are available but you need a female adapter to convert.
Calor is available at their Depot at Dublin Docks, their web site will give you details.
Try and avoid Dublin and the ring road at peak time, Major roadworks for many miles. Took 2 hrs to do 15 miles out of Dublin.
Best route is south out of the Port over the toll bridge, picking up the N7, Major roadworks at the tunnel heading north. Be Safe Mac "
