I have a 310D, it's an 1994 ex-Ambulance self build so may be slightly more powerful/stable than the factory built Motorhome shape, but just to give feedback on some of the comments...

VERY SLOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWWWW, they didn't like hills when empty, so gawd knows what they'll be like with a house on it's back.
I'll second this, no problems doing 100-120kmph on a flat but once you hit a hill speed gradually declines! Haven't brought up too many mountains yet so not sure how it handles around the highlands

Hi,
first thought that comes to me when I hear 308D:
Earplugs!
In my experience I find the drive quite pleasant and I've never really took notice of the noise, don't find it noiser than any other vehicle of it's age!

Add to the slow and noisy VERY soft on the suspension, so much so you may need sea sick pills when parked up if not using steadies.
Again, mine is an ex-Ambulance and there are a couple of extra stabilizers that would not be found on the standard chasis but i've never found a problem with the suspension or rocking when parked up.
All in all, I don't think you'll find a more reliable vehicle with a great chasis. If noise and suspension is all you ever have to worry about then you're sorted!!
