my van was hit in a car park in bude cornwall on the saturday of the august bank holiday, we have the insurance details from the person hit the van,we made the phone calls(TO DATE 53) and today (18 november) it's still not driveable and waiting repair.

when this is sorted out we will post the full story and name and shame all the companies involved

Yes, but be honest, you didn't read that small print, the bit where is says " the company will only pay out if you are attacked at the bottom on a lift shaft by a butterfly" now did you? Wink

It would help if you keep us informed of the outcome and also, as you say, post the insurers name when you have the cheque in your hot liitle hand. Good luck and fingers crossed it all gets sotred out PDQ

Like so many other things in the insurance world, they make great claims as to how cheap/easy/knowledgable/ they are to deal with, but the end product is, do they deliver the goods when called upon to pay up?
Or do they tie up the claim in endless red tape and obstructions plus exclusions.
I dont think one should go by price alone, the small print and reputation is more important especially if you are unfortunate enough to make a claim.

Hope its not Safeguard Ins. as i just paid mine yesterday.
