Without a doubt the Honda 1.0 EU is the pick of the litter. There are many others that are cheaper and we have a cheaper make at home. But the Honda we keep in our motorhome is waaay better.

The Honda is quiter, more fuel efficient, more reliable and much easier to start.

I've found that if you have a Honda you'll use it, if you have a cheaper make you'll use it less (more hassle etc.).

In 2008 we spent 8 months in our van in Europe and used the Honda heaps. 30 days in FPs meant 30 days generator use. A long power lead is essential and if you stick it down a row of vines and you can't hear it or see it. We'd fuel it upand just leave it running.

We returned to our van last year and the Honda not used for 18 months started after 6 pulls on the start cord.

I wouldn't use anything else.

Regar

Regards,
Simon
