No, I do not have a Facebook account....I have a life, which I enjoy in the REAL world.
My definition of LIKE has been set out above in various answers. Your post regarding "what a like button actually is and should do" was disregarded (by me and sensible others) as patronizing twaddle !
A life which you enjoy in the 'real world' but have managed to amass nearly 400 posts in 5 months "Social Networking" regardless, I assure you this is more time than I have spent on Facebook
Did you know that MHF has a facebook page?
Twaddle clipped:
I purchased my first ever MH 10 days before a joined this forum..... for the sole purpose of seeking information/shortcuts/advice etc., to assist me in problem solving in a new venture of which I have no experience. If I receive helpful advice from others here, then I am more than happy to pass on any information I can and to participate in the various threads which appeal to me.
However, when I have achieved my ends and become more proficient in all aspects of MHing, then MHF.com will have served the purpose and I will move on. Facebook is a venue which appeals to many millions around the world, but having tried it, it is not for me.
Yes I am aware that MHF has a FB page...... but not why you would need to point that out to me (?)
All of the foregoing is very much off thread and I do apologise to all readers for the deviation
I think you will find this is very much on topic - your thread is about 'Like' buttons and my replies are bang on topic despite your attempts to dismiss them
Granted, I am a good deal younger than the majority on here but I like think to think my contributions are no less valid and I always try and tailor my posts to the readership where appropriate. But I'm afraid you can't reinvent something for your own purpose and dismiss something that already exists in an established and recognised form elsewhere on the internet.
I want a klaxon horn on my computer that tells me I've pressed the wrong button and posted a thread in the wrong section.
Is it too much to ask?
