I have just read Decembers Caravan Club magazine and see that they are offering Garmin GPS sets with CLs and Club site positions in OR if you already have a garmin set then you can purchase the CD to download them for the grand sum of £65 yes i did say SIXTYFIVE POUNDS.
Very handy yes but sorry not at that price for me, what does everybody else think of that price for a CD ?

Insanity, when the data is available online. It might not be the latest 2005 data, but given the 95% solution for free.

What GPS do you want the data imported into?

I saw the CC CDs at the pocketgps event at Basingstoke earlier today. The chap was in denial that I should ever want other POIs if I had a motorhome. Salesmen, eh?

funnymunny,

I don't see how your Garmin constrains you from adding POIs. Are you aware of this:

which will import POI data to your Garmin from a bog standard Excel comma-separated-variables spreadsheet?

Why do you require the CD???????

Both CC and C&CC give members a free book with the site directions and OS coordinates in

So all you have to do is enter thse coordinates ito the m/c and hey Presto it will both find the position you are looking for and direct you to it.

Or perhaps that is too simple and they dont work that way

My navigatioin system relys on a paper map and that is the way to use them
