Thanks for all the input folks... every little helps

motorhomer... all of the web blurb I've read says that the ICN520 only covers Euro main routes... have you been able to get a street level update?

Think you might be right there sng, afaik the 520 only has major roads of europe.

The icn520 'premium' is the one with full euro street level mapping on cd. I have this version, you also need to budget for an extra sd card (512mb max) for copying from the cd.

Cheers Pete
Seems the icn520 premium is around the same price as the tom 700... the latter comes 'ready to go' and no phartin about Very Happy

Providing the 's' in sng doesn't cotton on to the hole in the credit card it looks like tom, tom, go Wink

sng,

I couldn't find a TomTom Go with UK, Spain and France mapping without going around £50 over your maximum price, which is why I didn't suggest it Smile

Yup, it would be a sadder world if we bought things on a justified-need-at-minimum-cost basis. I freely admit to being a want-afford person Smile

Amazon was the best I could find for a GO + Europe maps. £385

Prices coming down all the time, when we were looking a few months back the 700 was £549.
