Dear All,
I was asked to renew with SAGA and received a quote for our modest motorhome. It was so high that I promptly went to other companies and so far Caravan Guard are the most competitive.

Caravan Guard did the same thing to me, so I moved on from them.

Try Motor Caravanwise, I moved to them from SAGA for the same reason as you this year and they were able to beat my renewal by over £150 and the nearest quote from others, I tried all the well known ones, by over £65.
Good luck.

Today I had again the problem of reinsurance for my motorcaravan. My experience may be of help to you all.

Caravan Club (actually Devitt's) quoted £321.51
Caravanguard quoted for the same risk including £250 excess and without a windscreen excess £251.00
MCIA £255

My risk is a little higher due to disability, although I have a good claims record and a clean licence.

I too got a quote today for my Lunar Champ A520 from Safeguard . . .
I'm with NIG (MCIA) at the moment & paid £241 annual premium last March,
Safeguard just quoted me £290 BUT this includes (AA) breakdown & recovery in UK & Europe - (which I guess has got to be worth around £90 / £100) + no time limit on continental travel . . . looks like I'll be changing to them next March providing the info pack they said they would send me confirms the above details & cover

Vicdicdoc

I am with Safegaurd, i think the breakdown cover comes out at either £50 or £60. Still great value.
