We got the same with our 2009 based transit MH. In view that ours also operates the after market alarm we had a 2nd made. cost around £100.

Not cheap but at least we both have one.

Enjoy

Do the keys charge up in the ignition when the ignition is off?

Or is it only when driving along?

It does not seem possible to change an internal battery.

The blue remotes only charge when ignition is on. Also its not possible to change the batteries in these.

If you go to Timpson or others shoe repairers for spare keys,BE WARNED They will probably clone the key onto a battery head key. DO NOT use these type keys on these vehicles. The charge will confuse the electronics in the battery head. It will fail.

We use another system or we programme into the vehicle.
