We have been tentatively looking at awnings for our new motorhome. We like the movelite pro explore (as we don't need driveaway). The back part slides into the awning channel. The height as per read fully adjustable from 250cm to 290cm....our new Autotrail apache height is 3.03....I have searched around and cannot find an awning as high.... So is it the actual height of the van or the height to the canopy/awning channel. Any help and advice would be appreciated...regards.
Def the height to awning rail channel, on my Dakota thats 2.55.
Just be CERTAIN that you need a full size external awning.
I used to have a safari room, didnt use it so bought an awning as you are contemplating, didnt use it so changed it for a smaller (2m square) porch awning. Much easier to put up ( 5 mins single handed) and it provides enough space for dirty boots, damp coats, etc!!
Not trying to tell you what to do, just advising you of my experiences and adding a different point of view!!
Lots of people that have these type of awnings have had a piece of awning channel fitted to the side of the van at the required height,
That way you get the awning you like not just one that happens to fit your van, plus you could should you desire wind out your awning above it.

I looked into that on my old van, and was advised against it by Crossleys (knowledgeable caravan/motorhome body shop). Their view was it was asking for trouble, as the securing screws for awning rails aren't particularly deep and could be ripped out by strong winds causing extreme damage.
I'm a bit surprised by the OP's dimensions. Autotrails are typically 3.03M/3.07M (lo-line/hi-line) high in total...the rail on the Omnistor would be a few inches below that.
Edit : Forgot to add, have a Movelite XL driveaway on my AT and it fits just fine.
Agree.. we have an Autotrail 700 with a 4mtr awning fitted..
Bought a Sunncamp 390 and it's great... Even used it with the wind out awning extended..
Forgive my total ignorance, but isn't this for caravan? Do you have it fitted in to your awning rail and what height does your rail go to? Anything I need to know would help.
