Hi, i am about to order a double skillet, as there is only two of us, would you recommend a small or large one and is it best to use a defuser.

I'd the same quandary when I ordered my skillet and can't remember which I went for! But I've just measured it and it's 9.5 inches diameter. Sometimes it seems a little large for the two of us but it probably cooks the quicker because the contents are spread thinner. I wouldn't want any smaller.

And I do use the diffuser - I think it probably helps to spread the heat across the entire base when on a low flame.

Hope that helps.

We have a large one (only two of us) you can cook a whole roast - meat, pots in it. I think I bought a diffuser but have never used it, and now it cant be found!

You wont regret it's purchase, I use it indoors sometimes

Hi all, I saw these at the Newbury show and couldn't make up my mind as I thought they looked to good to be true. Not having an oven in the motor home though, can those of you that have them and have used them, reccomend them?
Thanks
Lesley

Wouldn't be without ours. With only having two gas rings it's an absolute dream. We got the double - did think about the single but glad now we got the bigger. It means we only need to carry two smaller pans and we have everything we need now. Have used it to make soup and, on occasion to fry the odd chip or two - couldn't have done that with the smaller one. We also double batch cook and the bigger one is ideal for reheating the large foil dishes - again - the small one just wouldn't do it.

We bought a diffuser but stopped using it after a while. We found the heat not only diffused up but also down and our old gas rings struggled to cope - had to keep changing the seals on them. We use it without now and don't notice any difference.
