If you have a Lap top and an internet connection you can watch all sky tv programmes (including Sky Sports) from anywhere in the world.
All you need is to sign up to Sky, if you all ready have Sky at home i beleive the upgrade is free! to be able to watch from your Lap top.
Or....... Use someone elses log in details i.e. a member of your family who is using Sky. You could also connect your PC to your TV if you want!

hi

I think you have a regular tv aerial , by the sound of your description .

a cheap suitcase sat dish /decoder from bay , aldi lidil may be best .

it will contain clamps and suckers to fix it up and will be 12 v

Perhaps consider getting an easy tune one, with an led in the lmb

remember we are in the middle of terrestrial switch over so if you choose non sat option ( via a tv areial ) you need digital ( free view ) capable tv.

hope this helps

if you have a maplins handy they do a couple of different gizmos to locate satelite signals the cheapest and simplest fit inline on your aerial connections & squeal louder the stronger your signal,

No Aldis in Italy as far as I know. My wife tells me I don't need to be able to watch English tv as I need to focus on my Italian language skills. We do get several English language news channels on the free sats here. But then she tells me I always read the news on the internet so why do I need tv. Do you hear me talking about a very practical Italian woman. She has broken me of my bad American spending habits for the most part.

I suppose I'm going to go back to the idea I had for a better tv antenna that can be raised on a pole attached to the bike rack.
Laughing hi jhelm. 2 words spring to mind (hen & pecked).jud :

My personal experiance with the maplin one is not a good one. It has on many ocaisions taken me an hour or more walking round the van hunting with a sat finder. Mine caused so many arguments that Ii decided to dump it. I recently got the glomax auto. A bit more expensive, but worth its weight in gold to save frustrating arguments
