Hi rosalan
I'm far too simple to understand your drift let alone your suggestion.

I had tried to angle the camera up (having loosened two screws) but simply to give a better view for reversing as it looked straight down. I didn't get much change because the camera on the hobby is fitted to the underside of a spoiler type projection rather than flat on the back. Bad design by Hobby.

Hi Folkranger

If your camera is as good as the one’s had and still had on my Autotrail they are as much use as tits on Tarzan.

The rear view is ok but it’s very difficult to judge the distance I’ve made life a lot easier by installing parking sensors, now I have no problems.

I only paid £14 for them on ebay.

Regards
Ray

Yes mine are that good also. I can tell if some idiot decides to step out behind me when I'm reversing but I can't tell how far anything is away. My Hymer and my last 3 cars all had sensors so I've forgotten how to reverse without them. Have to get some.

Sorry should have expanded on the location, having seen one like that all my thinking was: Flat lens style camera with direct rearward vision (same as mounted higher) but the cable dropped directly down behind the panel with light cluster loom (assuming access) and along the chassis to the cab that was my thinking no other reason. But see your point about high level each has its pros and cons.
