I recently had a problem with my car, kept cutting out at traffic lights. Took it to the main agents who plugged it into their computer.

No fault codes showing, but its not doing what it should.

Eleven and half hours later they found the fault, a pinprick hole in a vacuum pipe that tells the fuel pump how much fuel is required.

So there WAS a fault but the wonderful computer system didnt know what it was or that there was a fault even.!!

I will be collecting my bill later today (gulp!! Surprised Surprised ).

So just because the "magic box" is unaware of a problem doesnt mean its not there !!!

I have had the odd fault with my sprintshift (not changing up or down automatically sometimes, and being a bit funny about going from A to R on the odd occasion) Switching it off and re-starting has always fixed the problem.

To be fair this was just after I bought it and it had done VERY few miles over the preceeding 12 months, after a few trips away , touch wood, no further problems. I have now done 12K miles in it without a single hiccup !!
