After a couple of years experimentation, I've found Brillopads coupled with occasional overnighting of the grill in an Oven Pride bag does the job.

Good barbecue, but just too much hassle when on holday and in "bone idle" mode. Rolling Eyes Very Happy

We now use one of these . . . On one of these . . .
Not as good as a proper barbecue admittedly, but it works well and cleans with a wipe and a quick swill.

I soak our heat deflector and wire BBQ grill in a big shallow plant pot base filled with soapy water, and by using a wire scrunchy on the heat deflector and a soft mesh Brillo type pad for the grill, they come up a treat with very little effort. For best results do the next day. Smile

Damn you Rolla - in the nicest possible way of course! Rolling Eyes Laughing Laughing

I knew as I left the griddle website someone would ask where we got it, and now I can't find it again! Surprised

In fact we got it from an outlet shop at Street. It was on special offer for a tenner, which is quite a bit less the usual price. (Its cardboard box was a bit tatty!! Nothing else wrong with it. Rolling Eyes )

Correction - I have found it >> here <<.

Great for searing a steak or a breakfast fry-up as the cast iron spreads and holds the heat better than anything else.

The folding handle makes it easy to store, and never gets too hot to hold. You can get rectangular ones with the same handle if you need a bigger one.
