Please can anyone help. Here we are on a CC Club site at Forfar. Had the Remoska on a table in the awning. Husband only goes and hangs his dripping wet jacket over it!!!!!!!
Only for a moment or two but seems like the drips went into the handle. Turned it on and tripped out the electrics. He has unscrewed the lid, wiped the moisture we can see BUT he says it is impossible ti put back together. I do not think this is the case as I'm sure I've read on here of people who have taken apart the lid and put it together again - haven't I?
Any help would be so much appreciated as we have just started our holiday and I was relying on the Remoska.
I feel for your predicament, but unless you are very handy with diy, you will have problems. I have a remoska top in bits in my shed. Ask Lakeland, they may help.
Enjoy Forfar and its surrounds.

Hi what part have you taken apart, the handle or the internal heating element? if its only a small amount of water thats gone into the handle and the rcd came out I would suggest you let it dry off in the sun for some while like for the day and all should be better...
Don't bother trying to repair your damaged Remoska, simply take it back to Lakeland where you will receive a new one. you may not even need to have a receipt, as Lakeland are the only retailers of Remoska. Cheers
Hi we also had a remoska that developed a fault like that in the handle apparently at some point there was a faulty batch of the smaller remoska, yes I too have read on here of someone that took them apart.
I took our faulty one back to Lakeland and they gave me another, I phoned head office first and explained that every time I used it it tripped the electric.

I washed the lid of my Remoska and, of course, it tripped the next time I used it.
I took it back to Lakeland, told the truth that I had immersed the lid in water, and they replaced it immediately! I had no receipt either!
I hope you've managed to sort your problem. Like you, we have no oven and are happy with that, as long as the Remoska goes and goes and goes Ours looks battle weary but is brilliant.
Have you considered using a slow cooker as part of your arsenal? I hadn't but read about it on this forum and gave it a whorl. I chose the Hinari 1.5 litre on amazon.
I have replaced the cable in our Remoska as it went intermittent, bend the cable and the power went off. It was a bit fiddly but is OK. It was not designed very well.
Ours developed a fault this week while we are touring Norfolk.
A quick phone call to Lakeleland customer service and a quick visit to Norwich - hey presto - a nice shiny new one, no receipt required.
I noted that the medium unit now costs £104.99 !! -
