Just to keep you all informed MHF experienced some very heavy network traffic for the last few hours which had been building all day causing all kinds of delays in access etc

Now at present Stu and I are investigating in conjunction with the network hosting company and tracing a few IP Addresses etc to ascertain if this was an actual malicious attack.

If so myself and the Hosting company intend to contact the relevant authorities to alert them to what is happening as not only MHF has been affected but all the other customers of this network host company. This is affecting the livelyhood of other people as well as MHF and my business also.

If those who are responsible for this attack (If it indeed turns out to be such) are reading this then bear this in mind for the future Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad

For those who dont know I have had a few personal attacks myself over the last few days conducted by a small group of individuals who seem intent on doing so for nothing more than i quote "There is nothing else to do at Christmas" taken from a comment of one of them. Simply because i have switched mhf over to subscription based fees !!!!

Cool

Hello Dave

I really am sorry you are having these problems caused by such individuals.

I have found the site slow today & the last few hours some pages wouldnt load. at all. For about an hour I was unable to get into Mfacts ie page cannot be displayed notice. Then I got in but was logged out. Tried logging in got no such id message so still logged out. Tried to post & was succesful & under my own user name but still showing up as logged out & welcome as a guest. This is not the first time this has happened since Christmas.

I opened this thread to do this post & the site went down again.

Obviously I am back in now & signed in. Very weird.

Dave, sad to hear you're getting gyp from these scoundrels Rolling Eyes . I don't suppose I would need many guesses for their names.
Hopefully the "trolls" will go back under their bridges soon and leave us... erm... sensible folks to get on with enjoying the site.

All the best and a great New Year to all Exclamation

Just tell these sods that you'll set Helen on them - that'll do the trick. Cool

On the other hand, I do feel sorry for them that they need to spend Christmas trying to down a website. Perhaps they should try self abuse and see if that enhances their lives.
