Stewart, whether you need an adaptor will largely be down to if you already have a double din unit in place (mine didn't). If you don't, the code to google is CT23FT02A. Comes in at £30-40.

I opted for a Clarion unit, but radio reception is still terrible.

Paul

Not at all, I have a nice MH and I like nice stuff in it, My Radio reception is superb along with all the other functions it does.

And I did note the OP's post

Yo all,

Browsing about Ebay there are a lot of units that would fit the bill but I'm wary of cheapo units from China, would prefer to pay the extra for a more well known brand.

My MH model is a 2010 Tracker

So I understood that to mean he wanted a NICE unit and NOT a cheapo

Is there a problem with fitting to an AT do you know, you have me wondering!

Thanks for the prompt replies

Yo Paul, mine is a standard fit single din, take it your saying I'd need to remove the single din carrier and fit a double?

If I was you I would contact the company, Tell them your base unit and ask, I cannot see any more problems than fitting any other unit, it is all Plug and Play with din plugs at the back, I have all the instructions and if you PM me your email I will send you them.

Yup, remove the single din head unit and the cubby hole below (or was it above...can't recall) and you'll end up with a double din sized hole. However, you'll still need the kit I mentioned earlier to mount a double din head unit into (the cage) and make the fascia look tidy (assortment of plastic surrounds that come with it).

Clearly a missing Laughing on my part and mismatch of humour. I was replying to your statement

laughing that it was a bit extreme to swap motorhomes to get a better stereo. My humour obviously results in tumbleweed drifting past....

For what it's worth, the Clarion unit I bought was far from a cheapo one.

I fitted one of the Chinese units bought on eBay and apart from being crap for picture on reversing camera the sound was fairly disappointing also. Money not well spent!!!

Despite some slightly mixed reviews I was looking at a Sony unit since it has TomTom satnav as well as the other bits and is easy to update. My other choices were JVC and Pioneer. Disregarded the CHinese stuff almost immediately.......

Still not decided as I'm not buying until the year end as my annual "boys toy" so will watch reviews on here with interest
