Since we got the van, about 18 months ago, we have stored her on a CASSOA site about 5 miles from home. I like just about everything about the site. It's secure; the staff are friendly; I even like it that there are tuggers on site (for comparing experiences, etc). Each user of the site has their own numbered & marked (with paint on hardcore) bay. Up to recently I had a tugger on each side of me & reversing into my bay was easy. Last week I went to the site to take my van for cleaning & discovered a massive (by my van's standards) Burstner parked next to me. The front of his van extends beyond 'the line' by a good three feet. The bays are not that wide. Thus reversing back into my bay was very awakward. I said nothing at the time in the hope that the Burstner was only in the adjacent bay temporarily. I've had to visit the site again this morning & the Burstner is still there. Therefore it looks like reversing into my bay is going to be a continuing problem, because of the Burstner's overhang. The way I see it, I have four options:-
1) Leave a note on his windscreen, asking him to back a little bit further into his bay.
2) Ask the site owner to ask him to move a bit further back in his bay.
3) Ask to be moved elsewhere on site. This is my least favoured option as I quite like where I am.
4) Put up & shut up.
Any thoughts or views or am I being unreasonable?
Incidentally, if you are a Burstner owner on a CASSOA site in North Manchester, then 'Hello, I only need you to move back a couple of feet please '.

I would have a word with the site owner as that is who you have a formal relationship with. I'm sure they can contact the Burstner owner and let them know for you. It is part of the service they provide to ensure that you can get into your space. The other driver is probably just not aware of the problem.
Of course if you happen to bump into the Burstner owner you can mention it politely but I wouldn't go leaving a note as that might come across badly.
Not being able to see the spaces concerned we assume that the Burstner has the space to go back a couple more feet?

Agree with all of that - have a word with the site manager pointing out that the Burstner being parked like that is causing you difficulties and ask if they can "have a quiet word".
It is up to them to impose/enforce parking standards, not you.

Yes I would have a word with the owner as well, I am on a CASSOA Gold site and we have different areas for larger MH's which cost a little more, The site owner may not be aware that there is an "Oversize" MH in a small bay.

Thanks for your reply. I should have put it in my op (but that was already long enough ) that there seems to be about four or five feet that the Burstner could safely go back - assuming that he has the use of either a reversing camera or a third party.

If they are only a couple of feet over the line, yet have 4 or 5 feet spare behind them, they could just look down and get the front of the van behind the line
Sounds like another example of the "that will do for me, sod the rest of you" school of parking seen so often these days.
Be polite, see the site manager he/ she may not be aware of the problem caused by careless parkers. The owner of th eunit on the other side may have a similar problem to yourself.

Perhaps give owner benefit of the doubt, may be new to our lifestyle and afraid they may damage their pride and joy without realising the problems being caused to other users.

Nothing to stop them from getting out and having a look then going back a bit, that's what I do when on my own.
Notice that one of the motorhomes at the storage we use has moved pitch, no idea why though. (before anyone asks yes I am nosey )
