They may be new owners who just aren't aware thsat they are causing you a problem and the site owner is the best first port of call.

When I first got my motorhome, I stuck a 3mtr bean cane in a flowerpot of sand as a reversing aid, backing up until the strategically placed pot was in line with and just touching my door mirror. My motorhome is now under cover, and I've hung a bright yellow tennis ball from the barn roof, I reverse until the ball touches the centre of the drivers door mirror, and I know I'm a set distance from the back of the barn.

Hi.
All as above, plus, the owner/driver,may have difficulty getting out of the vehicle because of its,or their size,so have gone back as far as they can to be still be able to open the door without perhaps causing damage to the units each side.
If it is still in the same position when you next go,check out the swing of the units doors,if this can be seen as the reason, the owner/driver,is being a good neighbour and to be cherished. If that is the case, hone your reversing skills to a fine art, with your reversing skills at there peak, you may find yourself able to do the mile in.................. Four............Days? Laughing Laughing Wink
Best of luck with the outcome, keep those "Mighty Meaty" feet slapping on the pavements in the New Year.
Ted.

Be nice and friendly and wait until you "meet him" talk to him and suggest that obviously as he is scared to park his new van properly he must be a newbie and offer to show him how to park it "properly" explaining that the last thing he needs is to stick out over the line as one of these "bloody tuggers" is bound to clout it and blame him for stupid parking! Cool

That's what I'd do!

Eddie

Thanks to those of you who have resurrected this thread, but the problem has been resolved for a while now - my fault for not updating, sorry.

I spoke to the site manager & took him to see the 'offending' van & the difficulties it was causing me. Possibly because it helped him make one or two strategic pitch moves the site manager was very understanding & offered me a much more accessible pitch. Result all around Smile. The last time I looked, my old pitch was being used by a tugger.

30 mins 06 secs for 5kms? Not bad for an oldie...and aiming to go under 60 for 10k whilst under 60.

Our storage could do with a lesson. All the pitches are full square on instead of angled. It would cost them a pitch on each row but would make it a doddle to park or depart for tuggers and MH's alike.
