I think you'll discover tho that it does not record. The USB on the rear is just for software upgrades I believe. I have had this unit and there isn't even a record button on the remote.

I believe mine (Comag SL60/12 HD Easyfind receiver) does record. The spec says it's a PVR. I must admit I haven't used it yet, had it about 2 months. We have always managed to get a freeview signal apart from a small CL site that was in a valley.
I tried to use it then but I accidentally did a channel scan and it didn't find any channels. That was before I had set it up!!! The stupid thing is that if you have no channels listed in the tuner memory you can't use the easy-find!!!!

I may give it a go this weekend and report back.

You just set it to astra 28 and select channel 1 on the remote, it will then go red yellow green when you find it.

I discovered yesterday that despite a reviewer/purchaser on Maplin's product page saying it does not have dvb S2 that it must!
I just experimented and reset the unit to factory settings and performed a "Blind Scan" it now has the missing channels.

We have however fitted the Bush instead as it is much more user friendly and has an EPG that actually works
The Comag is going in the bedroom at home.

I will be apologising to Maplin despite their lack of help and technical support.
