Sounds like the ecu cutting back power because of a fault ...

Its recomended to disconect the battery for over an hour to allow it to reset itself as a first port of call....

got diagnostic report
2 fault codes
u1600 electronic key
and 1 about foot pedal position which was told was only because of electonic key fault
removed 2nd code and didnt come back on when used pedals only electronic key fault came on.
so taking it to another man next monday who is gunna look at immobilisor and go from there.

did this and been for a drive only 20 miles but no problems.
gunna have to brunt the rain this weekend and take it for a longer run.

disconnected battery for an hr to reset ecu and did 180 miles at weekend and no problems Smile

Hi

The symptoms sound just like our experience.

The fault was a poor electrical connection on one of the injectors.

Once the fault is triggered, the engine goes into "Limp Mode".

Reparing the connection gave a permanent fix - this was a fairly common problem with the 2.8 jtd.

just had diagnostics done again only fault code comes up is electronic key . tried key tester and it's intermittent so gunna renew the immobilisor antenna hope this works Shocked
