If your only going for a 50cc there should be a fair few below 100kg but they are very underpowered for long trips, hills or keeping up at a safe speed on a fast road.
I had (still have really) the same dilema with about 110kg to play with for the bike. I have had for the past 3 years a Peugeot speedfight II 100cc 2 stroke. It's probably got better performance than most 125 bikes but only weighs 95kg. It had enough storage under the seat and in the top box for both helmets and or loads of shopping.
They stopped making them in about 2009 but if you can get a good standard one the it might be a good choice. Had a few niggles with hours but it's been thrashed about all over Europe and is currently being abused In the Italian alps.
What I also do to balance the weight out is use the Luton Forward bed for storage. Up there right now is a folding mountain bike, rubber dinghy, food Boxes and 4 months supply of lemon tea!
Seems to work but we are always about 40 kg under with the back axle about on the limit.
Armatage trailers at ferrybridge fitted our bar and rack and it's excellent. 1 min to get on or off.

I have a series 3 125, an SX225 and a Rallymaster.
It's the SX I am thinking of taking on my travels.

Thanks for your note it has just made me realise that the figures we got from the weighbridge included a full tank of water which is situated between the rear axle so travel empty would make a significant difference to the wieght I have to play with now.
Cheers gents

Cheers all on the 50cc comments..
I'm pretty much aware of how bad it will be, especially as my last bike was a GSXF 750.... Got a few 125cc scooters earmarked and they are around the 105kg weight so will keep within weights.
Only reason I have had the 50cc is because of the price and the way the deal is structured.. Will wait till I get it all supplied and fitted before I declare the price..
Barry... distribution of weight is well prepared, gonna dump fresh water from tank between back axle, then add CIDER to the storage area behind drivers seat in dinette... That should do it...
