hi all, i have just been roadtesting my new experiment! i modified my 5 year old oyster vision and now i have a fully automated satellite internet dish on astra 23.5 and all my tv on astra 2 28.2 at the same time from the same dish. alden netmaster and the oyster satellite internet systems only allow you to have either tv or internet but i've set it up so i can have both. Very Happy

That's very clever. Who do you use as your ISP?

That is very nice.

Would really love to read a fuller description of what you did (although I don't have an automated dish, and no intention of getting one, I am very curious!)

Very Happy
Multi lnb holder like they use on astra / hotbird etc etc..
Point at 1 satellite and get side reflection for the other...

I sold 1,000's of them in their day.. not so popular now but a very novel use... Well done..

Ref ISP,,, If any help this is part of my old company...

Not sure how it all compares with others, been out the game far to long....

hi gerald, i have astra 2 connect on my house because i cant get adsl as i am too far from the exchange. i have been using this on a tripod when away in the van for a year or two now but wanted to make it a bit easier to use. i have put the ilnb for the internet on the end of the oyster dish's arm and mounted the tv lnb alongside it, the clever bit is that the dish searches as normal with the tv lnb and when it locks on to astra 2 the dish and ilnb is pointing at astra 23.5 for my internet. so the dish is pointing at 23.5 and i am getting all my tv on the offset from astra 2 28.2 would be easier if you could use your idea tonka but you cant use the ilnb to search and that is the one that needs to be right on the money all the best sean

Hi

I do not fully understand what you have done, but it sounds like a job well done to me! Excellent stuff!
