I was surprised how thorough the CBT was, especially as a non biker.
I must add, that I've been riding for 16 months since doing the CBT, but I haven't clocked up as many miles as I'd like due to work/weather etc.
Also must ad, I've chosen not to do any tests on a gear bike. I've got a maxi scooter that is A2 category. This will enable [IF I PASS] me to stick to 125cc for 2 years after which I can ride any size automatic.
Funnily enough you can't take your part 2 on the PCX!
I'm not into geared bikes... and I don't want to dress like a power ranger. I know some will say do it on gears' and ride what you like, but I like scootering and I think there will be more auto scooters in large CC's in the next few years.

Today I passed my motorcycle module 2 test. All in all it's around 50 minutes to complete. I had to take this twice as I didn't complete the 1st attempt! [long story].
I'm now able to take pillion legally.
It's worth mentioning to others thinking of doing the same, your scooter/bike if 125cc must be A2 classification, then once you pass you are limited to 125cc for 2 years after which you can ride any size.
I've now bought a Honda PCX, this is A1 category bike, so if you take your module 2 test on it, you will only ever be able to ride 125cc.
Costs have been:
Theory test £35
Module 1 £15
Module 2 £75
I had done the CBT nearly 2 years ago, but this is the only tuition I've had.
Cheers
Wilse
PS
If anyone is looking for a 125cc scooter Piaggio X8 or a 50cc Aprilia Mojito please let me know, as they will be coming up for sale.
Today I passed my motorcycle module 2 test. .......
Nice one.
For other attempting the same idea, I would recommend that you go to the test centre and watch others being tested.
Also some centres have a list of their test routes available for you to do a practice run on.
FWIW - I did a direct access course and now have full M/C licences in USA & UK.
