Well I have read over the past 3 days much information on here about Solar panels, with posts as far back as 2008.
Obviously there has been much improvements since then, I hope.
I wish to charge 3 batteries, 2 of them 110v leisure. My existing set up does this.
I am considering a 130 watt panel and have plenty of room on the roof. It also looks as if there is provision for the cable already.
Who would you recommend to fit this and which panel and control is most likely to be suitable.
We are on the south east coast, so somewhere between say Chichester and Hastings. Unless of course there is free overnight provision.
A couple come to mind Johns cross or Chichester caravans
reg depends on what controler you have in the van I have a Schauldt controller and have fitted a Schauldt reg its so simple to fit and charges both batteries and uses the van gauges to, so you can see what charge you are getting.
We have a 130W Kyocera panel on the roof feeding 2 x 110A batteries and have never run out of juice yet. Even on a dullish day in the UK, we get a decent trickle into the batteries to offset useage the previous evening. Last year we did nearly 3 weeks in France without staying on a single EHU site and our stops were always 2 to 3 days each.
The system was on our M/H when we bought it but Johns Cross are only 45 minutes from us and seems like they are not far from you so that's where we would head for this installation.
Cannot recall names of any other solar installation specialists near to you.

Stephen, who runs the business, fitted a 135W Kyocera panel to our motohome in May. You can stop at the C&CC site at Bellingham where he has an arrangement with the site manager / owner to do the work. You probably need to stop for three nights (or more if you want to explore the area fully) as the adhesive requires 24 hours to set properly before you move off. It took Stephen a bit more than half a day to fit ours, then he came back the next morning to check everything. A very good job - a lot of time was taken deciding how best to route the cables so they are completely hidden.
We too have a Schaudt controller as it plugs straight into the Electroblock.
The area is very attractive and the town, well village really, is on the banks of the upper Tyne.
I did wonder which trader would come in there.
Thank you all for your replies.
further question, read in one of the earlier posts that they ran the fridge on 12v. whilst charging with the solar panel. is this possible.

No. I suspect your fridge is similar to ours, and takes too much power from the 12V system. And, as standard, the 12V comes from the engine, so it only runs off 12V when the engine is running, 'cos it takes too much juice. A different type of fridge is designed to run off 12V, but I can never remember which is which, condenser or compressor
Kyocera panels are made in Japan and are one of the most efficient out there, many of the others are made in China, I would certainly steer clear of the Ebay cheapie's though saying that some posters are quite happy with theirs.
I went for a Kyocera 135w panel with a Morning Star controller and additional remote meter, well pleased and should I change MH it'll be coming off and be fitted to it.
Go for the best you can afford, then there'll be none of the "if only I'd"
Mine was fitted at home by Steve at Aire & Sun as I live just within the 30 mile radius of him. As previous poster b2tus highly recommended, but you'd have to combine fitting it with a holiday to make economic sense. Northumberland is a lovely place!
