A mod would need to do that. Might I suggest:
"Problem with Camos 1400P - Fault now fixed"?

Gerald

A good suggestion Gerald, but in Andy's favour, I'd be looking for something a bit more positive. Smile

Cheers,

Jock.

Me too Jock, but I don't think:

"Problem with Camos 1400P - Fault now fixed, thank you RoadPro"

would all fit in the title box Wink

Actually, now looking at it, it might Very Happy

It won't work, Tim. There is a 1 hour time limit on editing posts - you need to edit the post to change the title.

Just a little add to all that has been said, I have the Camos 40 static and it has been on and off 4 different vehicles in the last 3 years. Still works like a dream.

Thank you everybody for being so supportive - it's much appreciated. And thank you Dave for changing the name of the thread!

As Tim (who is a very nice chap by the way) explained, the dome had been installed using the incorrect cable. Because - on this type of dome - there's a single cable which carries power, control signal and incoming IF signal from the LNB, the cable has to be of very high quality: normal co-ax can cause all sorts of problems.

When we checked the dome we found that a component on a circuit board had gone down and that may or may not have been caused by the cable being the wrong sort.

Whatever the reason for the fault, it definitely was a genuine fault but...and I think this is really important, we can fix the sat-domes that we sell really quickly and reliably and Tim now has a fully-functioning dome which I think he has already sold to someone else in the same marina.

So, all's well that ends well.

I'm writing this from our Laika at the Malvern Show. If any of you are here / there, do come and say hello!

Andy
