Question, "How does the satnav know how wide a particular lane will be, half a mile after you have entered it?"

Dave, how can you have missed those hundreds of chaps in high vis jackets with tape measures that the satellite companies send out to check road widths that they can then load into the software - all over the UK and Europe. Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

Come on for goodness sake! What do you lot want? Why don't you just employ a local chauffeur to drive you around these foreign lands?

Surely having your sat nav take you down a French or Spanish goat track is all part of the fun!

It wouldn't be a good day out if I haven't had a blazzing row with Jane (our 100 year old tom tom) and tossed it out the window with some choice four letter words.

She's got really troublesome now though in her old age. Her latest trick is just to switch herself off in the middle of a journey and this is always without fail in the middle of some big foreign city or just a some tricky bit if motorway where you want to avoid the toll bit!

I'm not changing though unles the new ones still have the cow noise for whenever an Aire is coming up.

How do you assign the cow noise to a Tom Tom for the Aires Barry?

If you drive up the simplon pass from Italy into Switzerland around 6000ft up the tom tom one tells you to turn right, then take the ferry!
