IIRC the fridge freezer uses 170W on 12v.
I can run mine on 12v if I wanted as I have 2 massive batteries and 2 large solar panels but It isn't worth bothering as it doesnt use much gas.

Dometic States

Energy consumption gas (g/24h) 380
******************************

To me that adds up-to 3.8kG's over 10 days?.

Quite a lot of gas to me.

I always switch ours to 12v when on Ferries.

Gas consumption will depend on the temperature setting and ambient temperature.

Totally agree.

Working on spec provided and the fact that even in winter we tend to have a very warm interior.

Not so bothered about the gas cost (75p a day for us calor Propane). More the inconvenience if we were in say France and had limited supplies.

Just imagine the cost of using Camping Gaz!

If you want to save gas ? help the fridge cooling. 3 fans only 7.8watts
effectively lowers the ambient temperature during hot daytime

I went for two fans. These will double as cooling for the condenser on the chilled locker I am working on as this will sit in the top vent of the existing dometic.

Looks good to me - as I said, I thought my fan was in the chimney but it appears it's actually half-way up the fridge, presumably in a big open space so I'm not sure how effective that can be.

I'm going to start a new post and see if anyone has the same set up as me - vents from under the floor and up through the ceiling.
