We're to get a Kyocera 130w solar panel.

The regulator that our man uses is the steca regulator - he's not had any problems with them.

There's not a huge amount of info on them - any users out there?

I want one (I think) with MPPT technology.

If you look at MPPT regulators remember that all brands don't perform the same.
I have spoken to a member on here who has tested a Victron against a cheap chinese MPPT regulator and seen a large difference in performance.
I also read up on some information on various boat and yacht forums where members have tested various MPPT regulators and most found that cheap import MPPT regulators did perform better than most standard PWM regulators but did not perform anywhere near as well as branded MPPT regulators. The down side of the good regulators is the price.

The downside of the "good" regulators is the name the price and still most likely from china but with a BIG profit margin.

To answer the OP's question - I have the Steca PR1515, and have used it with a 130W panel for a couple of years now. No problems. It works well. In spring and autumn, when we do our travelling, there is more than enough sunlight to recharge our batteries each day.

Following on previous posts, we have a Steca PR1010 in conjuction with our Kyocera 130 panel and 2 x 110v batteries. Don't think it is MPPT though.

However, it works fine for us.
