Can anyone recommend a freeview box that runs on 12 or 240 volts?
Ideally i'm after something;
Small as possible.
Can be used on 12 or 240 volts.
scart connection, although doesn't need to be so long as the appropriate cable is supplied that connect to the scart on the tv.
Has EPG.
Ideally a remote IR sensor so it can be hidden away.
I think that's it, i've searched around but any I find that seem appropriate tend to be unavailable.
I don't really like the ones that are like an extended scart plug, that attach directly to the tv.
Well I don't know how small is small to you, but the maxview freeview box is the size of a VHS cassette, it does have the facility to use the 'magic eye' IR sensor and will run on 12/240v.

Sorry just re-read your post you are wanting a freeview not satellite.

We have used ours as far afield as Austria where it picked up all the Freeview channels on a 60cm freestanding dish. I use a flexible scart lead so it's easy to rotate the telly around.
The remote almost works around cornersand although it doesn't have a "magic eye" it does not need direct line of sight.
Some 'digi' boxes although 240 volt have a small transformer to 12 volts. But they are few and far between.

There are several 12V Freeview boxes available, but identifying them is difficult as they are constantly changing brands and models. Your best bet is to look at the boxes on display at retailers, Currys, Comet or Tesco and check the power input on the back. If it is a small round plug into the back the likelihood is that it will be 12V. The actual voltage input will be marked close to the input.

the comag digibox suits your requirements bar the magic eye sensor, nice and small and has some added benefits like USB facility to act as a PVR, EasyFind system for easy Alignment (if you have manual setup with EasyFind LNB), HDMI Output, and preloaded with
