I get a box stating...
'AppleSyncNotifier.exe unable to locate component'
' This application has failed to start because Corefoundation.dll was not found. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem
I click on OK and start work, but obviously this problem is slowing down the startup. I have Itunes installed - can anyone tell me where I can find the dll file? I have looked through (run mconfig)
Thanks anyone, Wendy

Thanks Jim M, I have read the web reference you gave me. I am wondering how the directive to 'uninstall' and re-install. works when I don'thave the disc with the programme? Although Apple would have been downloaded from its website, for the purpose of itunes. Where can I find the dll file, because if I delete that would that not solve the problem?
Wendy
Hi Jim,
Tried that link and downloaded the prog which seemed to find a dozen infections.!!!
But then it wanted registration and payment.!! So deleted.

Yes Ray, Thats what I found, always theres a catch that leads to payment for downloads which I am weirry of - in case they lead to virouses,, I shall just have to keep ticking 'OK' until I can find where this corefoundation.dll is hiding
Hi Martin, Is this Corefoundation.dll definitely linked to the Apple Itunes? I already had Itunes on this laptop, which I have reverted to whilst my Acer is being fixed!!!

The link further up seems to confirm this.
So:
(1) Do you currently have an anti-virus system installed and have you recently run a full scan of your computer? This is an essential first step as one cause of this problem is reported to be a malware infection.
(2) As stated a couple of times already, it should be straightforward to uninstall iTunes and also straighforward to download and install the latest version.
(3) You asked if deleting this .dll file would cure your problem. No. A .dll file is a Dynamic Linked Library - which is an essential part of the program you are trying to run. Deleting this file (if you can find it - it may be missing) would only make things worse.
Read this page from Apple
Apple Support Page
Although possibly not the exact problem you have, the .dll involved is the same and the web page includes instructions on downloading and reinstalling iTunes.
