A gentle suggestion:

You can download a virus checker from the AVG site which can be installed on a USB stick or CD and you can then boot from it and clean your system without loading the potentially infected operating system.

It is free.
http://www.avg.com/us-en/avg-rescue-cd-download

So instead of going to potentially dodgy sites which always seem to find stuff that needs removing for a charge (and are you sure that they are not going to add stuff?) why not try a well known anti-virus company with FREE software?

The fault originally reported here seems quite common, so it is not difficult to put up a web site offering to fix it and draw the punters in. You will also find sites which offer drivers for free download - another very common query.

Not all sites are dodgy, but unless they are associated with the original manufacturer you are always taking a huge risk.

So scan the system, fix any faults, then reintall the software with a download from the manufacturer's site.

Cheers

LGC

P.S. Just read that the external scans which boot into Linux can't clean out the registry.
If this is true, after the external clean you should boot back into Windows and run a full virus scan immediately, to be fully cleaned.
