KC10 has introduced a vital point, namely condensation. 'Later' is not the time to address this downside to motorhoming; 'now' is the time.
Trust me, when the cooler weather comes, your single glazed windows will be running with water, through the evening, through the night, into the morning. And where will it run to?
The cab area should not be a problem, simply fit an EXTERNAL silver screen. That will keep the cab area cool when it's hot; warm when it's not, and it will kill the condensation in that area. It works by keeping the cool outside air off the warmer glass of the windscreen and side windows.
Now, the side windows. You're clearly working hard on your conversion so skimping is not an option. Who do you know that's good with a sewing machine. A visit to a DIY establishment should provide you with some sheet insulation such as is used nowadays in house roof spaces. This could be formed into side screens which fit into awning channels or something similar. OR... visit a tent maker, lorry sheet fabricator... they have the machines and will no doubt help out at a small cost.
Whichever, don't wait to sort the condensation issue. It WILL happen unless you prevent it.
Very soon, someone will post about ventilation and how it prevents condensation. Noooo... it helps but does not solve the problem.
Back to you. Keep up the good work. Good luck.

Thanks for the advice Norm! I didnt think there was much i could do apart from changing the windows for double glazed ones. Ill keep the fabric over the windows idea in mind.
We got rid of the Movano, as we couldn't find any double glazed windows to fit the existing openings.
Very glad we did, the new owner only got 18 miles before the engine packed up, it drove fine in the short time we had it though.
It just shows to go you that you're never far from a major breakdown.
We won't be going down the Movano/Master route again though as there is a total lack of engine spares out there unless you buy new, and they are in short supply too.
So we're keeping our eyes open for low mileage Sprinter/Ducato/LT35 or simlier
What a lovely post, full of Christmas cheer and good will. Once finished I'll be driving across Europe, dont mind if it breaks down, it's part of the adventure.
We have a converted VW T5 - and we get over the condensation with an e-cloth...at least the windows get cleaned at the same time!
Good luck with your travels - we are about to do the same thing...for as cheaply as possible and so replacing the windows is not an option for us at the moment.
