Thanks Telbell, that is very very good. Don't know how Navigator does it yet, if at all.

The Dezl does the same of course. It can be set to automatically redirect round but refuses to do so if the new route does not give a significant gain over the expected delay. I have only had it do for me once, interesting route but OK!

This might be a silly question but does the Snooper ventura S7000 EU come with free updating mapping? It doesn't seem to mention this on the information about it.
Thanks for help in advance
Pat

Hi Pat

Yes the Snooper dose come with all EU Maps loaded and you can also get free updates yearly.
As far as I as I’m aware no other company gives this option.
I purchased the Venture S6000 with the 7inche screen back in June because I wanted a larger screen and lane guidance it also allows you to in put all dimensions including the weight of our Rapido car and trailer.
We used it to go to Italy in September and it was bang on every time or by the way it also has all the Acsi camps and other sites already loaded, we travelled over 3000 mile and it never took us any ware we hadn’t planed to go.
I also have a Go pal satnav, which was our first ever 8 years old a Blaupunkt travel pilot 4 years old, and believe it or not I paid more for the travel pilot than I did for the snooper.
Both of my old units have work well and have given me good service but the snooper beats them hands down, of course this is just my opinion.

I hope this helps

Regards
Ray

Any potential snooper ownersn, please be aware of their customer service or ,in my case, lack of it.I have now been waiting TWELVE weeks for them to covert a poi file I sent them. This is after numerous phone calls and e mails, the last one being last week when I was promised a call back within the hour.I know others have had no problems but I can only tell as I find.

Mine had to go back for a firmware update as it "crashed".

Came back with the update ok but lost all my Favorites, Recent destinations etc.

The other downside as I see it is that the "find campsites en route" is very limited....oh and the poi issue

Nice big screen though Laughing
