My brain hurts now.

Fortunately I have a 8LNB dish, I also have another in the garage from the old house which is less than 3 years old, not sure what to do with that though.

As for the redundant Sky + box, I might put it in the bedroom and scart it up to the old VCR, at least then I'll get some use from it.

What would be useful, is if I could scart it up to one of my PVRs and record sky on to that as the aerial reception here is very poor.

This might help some

Hi,
Surprised nobody has mentioned the fact that Sky+ boxes all have a Hard Disk Drive that can be used either in a desktop PC or using a hard drive caddy (Maplins) as a back-up drive for your laptop.

The 80gb are actually 160gb as Sky use 80Gb for recording.

A cheap hard drive for around £5 - £10.

I've picked up a few Sky+ boxes as a spare for our home one but if they don't work, take the disk out, format it and use it as a backup.

Wife has now banned me from buying any more at car boot sales.

So I bought a 1 TB Hitachi USB desktop drive from Tescos for £27.50 during one of their sales along with Blue-ray DVD player at £30.

DVD now in M/H.

Cheers,
Alan
