Hi All
Thanks for all your help. Him indoors has a problem in not having any wiring diagrams, This morning we have borrowed a meter so should be able to trace it back. We are down in the south west of France and are going to leave the camper with friends till the new year ( in a sunny spot)
I would also like to mention that I,ve been using my new Kindle 3G to send messages as there is no wifi on site, I,m very pleased with the ability to keep in touch without having to pay any connection charges.

hi jancorb.i was thinking the same thing about the state of the vehicle battery when parked up without hookup on eBay they have small trickle chargers to put on your dashboard about £20. but i bought a 20watt panel kit for under£100 giving about 1.2amps and i am going to fit it permanently on the roof so will keep the vehicle battery topped up and also can switch over to leisure batteries to add to my130watt solar panel .jud

All sorted, battery charging nicely. Him indoors fitted a juction box on the 20amp
feeder from the starter battery positive at terminal 1 of electrobloc imput socket
[block 2]
Then fitted short connection from junction box to living area battery positive via
10 amp fuse mounted in extention fuse carrier .
