Downloading it to my ipad 2 now. Apples server are taking a big hit, this is so slow. I still need to do my iphone 4 but the ipad had to come first as I read kindle on it at bedtime.lol. Just a warning if you have the original ipad and you update it you will lose the multi touch function.

At the moment the only jailbreak for ios5 is a tethered one - I don't jailbreak my iPhone but on other forums I've read that people are waiting for an untethered jailbreak before upgrading.

if you have a slow internet connection mine runs at .75mb i suggest you dont use icloud.

I have so far avoided updating my iphone 4 to iOs 5, as there seems to be a continual gripe of problems, one being that it wiped all the backups in itunes, so the user lost everything!
Can you take independent backups, outside of itunes, just in case.
What are the advantages of upgrading to iOs 5, what else does it do, or do better, after the upgrade?
Has anyone had a sucessful upgrade, and is pleased with it?
