I changed the battery without backing up the system and now I am immobilised! Embarassed
I press the button on the key fob but the redc light just flashes and the ignition light doesn't come on.
There's nothing in the Sigma booklet about the immobiliser . I've got the code for the alarm and rentered it, no difference. How can I get the van going, any ideas, we are away next weekend for 2 weeks- I hope!

10,000 thanks for anyone who can get me started.

Gather as much information as you have and Google for further info and especially look for forums.

Have you tried setting the alarm on. Wait 30 seconds switch alarm off then try to start.

Had to do this several times earlier this year, it, now, seems to have cured itself.

We had a similar problem and contacted the alarm system manufacturer/installer* who advised us that there should eb a keypad somewhere, probably in the glovebox - there is. He also advised how to find the code - obviusly I'm not about to divulge this on forum, but if you find such a keypad I can PM the info to you.

* I am surprised how often I read postings on here from purchasers of second hand vehicles who don't seem to have any manuals or paperwork relating to retrofits etc. Each of the three used 'vans we have bought have had folders with the original handbooks and full documentation on all additions, accessories, and so on. These folders have always been added to whenever we have changed or added anything so we can pass this on when the 'van is sold or PXd. We wouldn't consider buying a 'van without this.

You may find the Sigma alarm is not connected to the vehicle immobilizer
This is the case on my Merc Sprinter based MH

This is a pretty good source for Sigma Alarm Problems

Sigma Alarms link to Subaru Website

Sigma s30 info available on the site, I don't think they are vehicle specific.

Missing Code links on this Forum may also address your issue

Might help

Another link may be closer to solving the problem

May be worth checking the vehicle manual to see if there is a factory fitted immobiliser with different instructions for a start up after immoboliser triggered. A general point to note is that when resetting most electronic devices it pays to wait a while for the device to reset.

(NB not the case if resetting Sigma Keypad code when forgotten and a radio key allows you to reset the keypad code as detailed on the other post I've made)

Steve
