Thanks Steve.

I just had a look for the HP Ebay shop but nothing came up.

Do you have their user ID?

How about one of these
...Apple Mac Mini Desktop....
youll need a monitor or use your tv if compatible and a keyboard not sure if it has to be apple. There are a few on Ebay worth a look.
Fancy one myself when this one goes. Anybody got experience of this model.

Well I've bitten the bullet and bought a new laptop, after much studying the form I went for the Lenovo Ideapad Z570

It's quite nice to use, the spec is very high, so hopefully a bit future proof for a while at least.

It' taking a bit of getting used to the new offset of the keyboard though as it has a numeric pad, so everything is a bit to the left.

Hi,

You'll soon get used to the different keyboard and you couldn't get more "IBM compatible" than a Lenovo Smile Smile

From the reviews I would have probably got one of those if I hadn't been persuaded to get a MacBook (and there are still things I preferred on the PC than the Mac ) Sad Sad

Steve
