if I removed the Live feed for the Camera which is connected to the reversing light and reconnect it to a Live feed to the Ignition, I should get a Permanent Rearview display.
That is the obvious answer that I was just about to post, as it is only the source of power supply that determines whether it is a reversing camera or a rear view camera.

Hang on Kev_n_Liz haven't looked at it yet, especially as it raining Cats and Dogs outside. Need to check the Camera wiring first and identify which wire is which, but I will look into this.
Thanks Stanner, I am hoping it will be easy to identify which is the Camera live wire when I look at the reversing light.
I would guess that your setup is the same as on my Swift Bolero. The module that controls the camera is located below the glove box in the top of the dash on the passenger side. You need to remove the four torx screws and lift out the glove box liner. You should then see an aluminium box with various wires going into it (the box is about the size of a box of swan matches).
I made up a wiring diagram for another member on here who wanted to do the same thing so if you'd like to pm me your email address then I'll scan it and email it to you.
Just to bring everyone who's interested up to date on my original post on this matter, with the very kind help from philoaks I can now have my SatNav working either as a permanent Rear view monitor or with a flick of a switch, use it as it was originally intended, as a SatNav which will switch over when reverse gear is selected, a reversing camera.
philoaks diagram and instructions were so easy to follow it only took about 45 mins to incorporate the switch and additional piece of wiring with added bayonet fittings to achieve this.
Thanks once again philoaks.
I have the same situation as you, but I was hoping to replace the Blaupunkt entirely. The Snooper Ventura S7000 and the Caravan Club models (S5450 & S6450) allow reversing camera input. However I am not sure whether the cabling is the same - I have just posted a query re this. Let me know how you get on.
Re the above drawing showing the connections on the EM1 module
Can anyone advise the function of the output connections red, white, yellow to the monitor?
