Not used thumbs up yet as I haven't read up on it's purpose.
thumbs up (green) means i like this kind of program so the box learns your likes/dislikes then makes reccomendations and even records things you might like!

glad to hear your install went ok kev

I'll be ringing them next week as the 1 into 3 gubbins left dangling below the wall box is very unsightly IMO why not have it all in the box, and the external wiring is all over the place.
I'm not a complainer but this is a very amateurish installation to say the least, but not surprising, as the installers work on piece work at £20 per install to be split between 2 men.
Yes, I totally agree Virgin does not police its contractors. The other day they slung a new cable (street light contractors had severed my old one) underneath the gravel that my motorhome parks on. I reckon it would have lasted no more than 10 trips out. When I called our a Virgin engineer he was simultaneously appalled and unsurprised.
Then I lost internet and TV again when more contractors did a cable box refresh in the local area. By my (& Virgin's) estimation they seemed to achieve little more than disconnecting all cables, mixing them up and reconnecting them.
Well no one seems to know what the tick signifies then.
Does anyone know how to get rid of having to use a pin every time I want to watch anything recorded after 10pm, there is no one here who is too young to watch. I've looked in setting but didn't see it.
I am slowly getting used to the way it works, but it's far from logical, and clunky isn't descriptive enough, the buttons are also illogically placed when using playback, and the curser is too sensitive to anything not 100% NESW.
All that aside, I am very impressed with what the box is capable of compared to sky, it's just not intuitive enough in it's use.
If only there was someway to give some feedback to someone who matters at Virgin, so some improvements could be made.
