Bought the iPhone 4 September last year and the poor signal is annoying, frustrating and means I miss important business calls.
Never had Signal Issues with O2 and the Nokias.
When I first got the Iphone 4, the signal bar meter went to no signal when I had none.
Since updating the software, the meter shows one bar. But the phone will not call out. Or someone tries to call me but the phone just goes to answer phone as the signal meter is a lie. Put there by Apple, nothing short of a con.
Other than that, the iPhone is brilliant!

I'm very disapointed with iPhone 4 reception as well. However, I've found regular cleaning of sim card does help improve it.
