Yes I use to run a Calor and Gas low bottles together no problem.

Now changed to 2 gaslow bottles, ours just has the normal Truma securemotion reg on it

So does the Secumotion not require a the orange hose for it to work (I see your second bottle has a SS hose?

You still have to use the orange hoses if you want to travel with the gas on.

The secure motion has 2 bits to it, the regulator and a cut of valve on the end of the hose. I have not yet found away of having a steel hose and the cut of valve, so originally used a rubber hose for one bottle.

I now just use 2 steel hoses and dont bother with the hose cut off valve.

If I want to put a Calor bottle back on all I have to do is screw a propane end on to one of the hoses.

I have the setup you describe. The van is fitted with secumotion hoses with the UK propane ends and I simply bought a £10 adaptor to convert one of these to 21.8lh for my single Stako bottle.

I run on the refillable bottle until it is low then refill. If it runs out it auto changes to the calor bottle for a short while until I refill and revert to the refillable. It works out that the calor bottle lasts me 10 or so refills without having to be too fussy checking the gauge.

It also means that it is easier to put a local bottle in when on a ski campsite for a period of time as I just have to replace the calor and hose rather than start dismantling a double refillable system.

I'll post a photo later.

Kev

I'd assume then that you never travel with the gas turned on!
