Also, if you get the app, you can remote programme your Sky+ box from anywhere. Handy if you forget to set something when you are out/away.

If you ring sky and tell them money is tight and you are thinking of cancelling your subscription they will offer you all sorts of discounts.

My latest one was 6 months HD subscription for free !!!

If you only want the normal terrestrial channels (BBC 1 &2 ITV etc )and radio then any old sky box will do the trick for no subscription or additional cost.

Yes, that app is great. Just wish they'd enhance it so

a) it allowed you to start recording after the programme's already started (obviously would be partial recording, but better than nowt)

b) it allowed you to select which box to record on. I've got multiroom with an HD box downstairs and Sky+ box upstairs...app defaults to the HD box recording.
