As my wife is disabled, and we are comparatively new to touring.
We are in need of some info on these sites, this is to enable my wife to have her periodic sessions of retail therapy.
We have found--Bristol--Tewksbury--Edinburgh--Ayr etc.
She Scoots & I walk.
Chester Fairoaks CC site - close to the Cheshire Oaks retail park and designer village
Oxford C&CC site- a reasonable walk into town ( not that I'd pass Oxford off as a good shopping destination !)
I assume you mean towns within walking distance of the site?
Totnes CC site is close to the town,Salisbury C@CC is about a 15 minute walk, might a bit too for for the scooter.Cirencester CC site is also fairly close to the town centre.

The Caravan club sites at Broadway, Moreton in Marsh, Cromer (Seacroft), Bognor Regis, York (Rountree Park), York (Beechwood Grange is close to Park and Ride which accepts MHs), Cirencester Park, should be suitable.
Chris
Melrose, Moffat, Forfar and Braemar sites are all in the villages, I have a similar problem and need to look for sites either in villages or on a bus route.

Hi Chris
I wouldn't consider the CC Bognor site to be within easy reach of the town - quite a long hike over a not very nice route to the town ( & beach). It is however very convenient for the retail parks which are within 1/4 mile - Halfords, Lidl, etc plus B&Q, Tesco, and next year Sainsbury's

As far as I know, the only motorhoming Oxford United supporter in Bognor.

Cardiff - fantastic walk to a fabulous City Centre through a beautiful park. Possibly the best located site I have visited. The problem is that it is a Municipal site and is difficult to get in. Look on the Cardiff City Council website for details.
I've always found Cardiff very obliging. They have let me stay on the car park for a donation in the charity box when they have been full. No electric of course but still a good place to stay.
