I have just had exactly the same experience as you and by the time they got back to me 2 days later I had accepted a quote from the NFU.

That's strange as when I got a quote from them (NFU) recently they wanted about 3 times as much as MHF & much, much more than anyone else. Their agent couldn't explain why either. Needless to say, I went with MHF.
This seems to be par for the course with insurance, of any type, nowadays. Frustrating as you have to spend time getting lots of quotes each year just to be sure you aren't being ripped off.

Similar experience... house and contents renewal up by almost 30% ...

found a quote with another insurer that was less than 50% of the Saga quote for this year... have feet, will vote!

Is their chief executive due a bonus I wonder Laughing
