One of those TV's with built in Freesat so you don't need a separate box.I usually dive straight in but from now on I intend to show a bit more patience and let others test drive first! So anyone splashed out yet and happy to share you're comments please?
Yes, about 12 months ago we bought a Panasonic 42" (PANASONIC TX-P42G20B) with HD freesat (& lots of other things) built in. Works just fine & with a bit of jiggery pokery can even receive Sky news, without a Sky box. We already had a Sky dish on the side of our house but have never subscribed to Sky. Expensive when we bought it, about £600 from Laskys, best price we could find at the time. Probably come down now.
You can link a hard drive up to it for recording & link it to your router as well but haven't got round to those yet. (Still looking for a roundtuit).
Yes. Bought one a year ago. A 32" Sony in the corner of the kitchen at head height. Just see wall all around it but no sockets, cables or boxes showing.
Has iPlayer on it, still waiting for ITV player to come on it on Freesat.
I assume you refer to the home market, as opposed to the smaller motorhome tv's.
As they are quite new, they are still in the higher price range, but as they are from reputable manufacturers like Panasonic and Sony, I'm sure they are fine.
Personally, I would prefer to stick with seperates like Humax with HDR recording for freesat and freeview. It gives you more options for recording more than one program, while watching another, but if that is not an issue, then I'm sure they are fine.
I assume if you want to record from a freesat/freeview tv, then you would need to buy an HDR anyway.

.......... I did - and I´m now yet another EX Marquis customer!
He who dies with the most toys is nonetheless - DEAD!
Yes bought a 32" Panasonic 2 years ago quite happy with it. Not only Freesat and Freeview but also "other satellite" channel list which is ALL free to view satellite channels not simply the ones on Freesat's list.
Only disappointment was sound quality from built in speakers - cured by plug in speaker system.
